Q: How involved in your life are your parents?

0-15%: Your parents don't know what time you go to school, what time you get out of school, what you do with your time outside of school, or even what school you go to. They probably do not know what time you go to bed at night, the date of your birthday, or even how old you are.

15-30%: Your parents know your school schedule, but not your class schedule. They only know one of your friend's names that you grew up with, and they don't know what kind of clothes you like to wear or what any of your interests are.

30-45%: Your parents know the names of 2-3 of your closer friends, they have a vague idea of what you want to be when you grow up, and they make feeble attempts to bond with you when the opportunity arises during the biannual family outing.

45-60%: Your parents are constantly asking questions about your school, classes, and friends. They ask about each class that you take, what your friends' parents do for a living, and what your teachers like for holidays. When you watch T.V. or online videos, they are peering over your shoulder at the program you are watching.

60-75%: You do not have a lock on your room- and if you do, your parents have the key. Your parents know all of your teachers personally and also have their contact information. They are friends with all of your friends' parents, and they are on the advisory board of the PTA.

75-90%: Your parents have a copy of your cell phone list. They always know where are at any given moment of the day. The only time you leave the house without one or both parents tagging along is to go to school. They are even sometimes with you at school, bringing you lunch, or perhaps they are a teacher at your school.

90% or more: You eat, sleep, work, play, and breathe alongside your parents. There is rarely a second when you are alone or with other people that are not your parents. You often find yourself getting mistaken for your mother and/or father, and your parents are just one step away from getting a leash for you.
